Tonight is just one of those nights.
Does anyone else's child fight going to sleep even though they are exhausted beyond belief? I used to be able to just stick her on the boob and nurse her til she fell asleep.. but lately it has been a fight to get her to go to dream land. The past couple of nights I have just been sticking her in her baby carrier and pacing the RV until she clonked out, but it is not happening tonight (mind you.. I am nursing her right now and not just ignoring her while I blog). And it's not just night time when we have a problem with this.. it is during the day as well! Hadley will lay down for a nap.. and only 10 minutes into it she is waking up and ready to play! NOT understanding this.. I rarely ever drink caffeine.. I feed her really good before naps.. and I make it a nice and relaxing atmosphere.. Tyler and I are guessing it's because she doesn't want to miss a thing that is going on around her (and there is absolutely nothing exciting going on.. just us hanging out in the RV most of the time). My second guess is that maybe it is because we just moved to a new area and she's not used to it? Hmm.. I'm not sure.. but I'm ready for her to get back on schedule and start taking her real naps and falling asleep better at bed time.
SHE FINALLY FELL ASLEEP :)
Ahhhhhhh me time :) I would say that it is mommy and daddy time.. but daddy is out cold from working soo hard and making money to support our little family. I am soo very proud of him. I knew that he wanted to spend more time unemployed and enjoy riding the new jetski that he remodeled and turned into a hot rod, but he knew that the responsible thing to do would be to go back to work.
I honestly do not know one other man his age that has his responsibilities in order and is as mature as he is.. Ohh.. and he cooks for me :) I really did good finding the right person to make a family and spend the rest of my life with. I am so grateful to have him in my life.. and I really need to start expressing that to him more often. Sometimes I just get sooo caught up in my own world and being a mommy that I forget the other important thing, besides being a mommy, and that is showing my love for my husband. Hmm... maybe that will be something for me to do this week *Think of a cute & romantic way to show my appreciation for him :)
On another note.. Hadley ate her green beans today and she liked them! I was very impressed with how much she ate. ( I didn't over feed her though.. I've learned my lesson with that! ) Someone told me that I should just keep feeding her as long as she is reaching for the spoon or even just opening her mouth up for a bite... but this child will eat until she's spitting up like crazy! I felt really bad after that happened the first time and I'm not going down that road again! Next we will be trying peas! I really hope she likes them more than I do.. I CAN'T STAND THEM! Oh, and there is this website that I love to go to which I'm sure a lot of people have already been too.. but in case you haven't heard.. it's www.mamanatural.com and she was vlogging about all natural teething biscuits! Most definitely going to try those out in the near future.
I have a question for you mommas out there! When is it necessary to take your baby to the Dr. when it comes to a diaper rash? Hadley has had a diaper rash for over a week now and I just can't seem to help it go away.. I've tried baby powder.. Butt cream.. changing her diaper as often as possible.. and washing her thoroughly.. I use all natural wipes and chemical free diapers!! I seriously do not know where to go from here... A couple months back Hadley had a yeast rash and the Ped. gave her some nystatine (sp?) and he said I could use it in the future if she were to sprout up with a yeast again.. so I started her on it again today and it still looks the same.. maybe I should give it a couple of days and see where that leaves us? Anyway, let me know what you guys think!! I love advise and am willing to give yall's suggestions a try!
Okay.. I better go off to dreamland while I have the opportunity! Night Night World!!
